Our purpose
The purpose of Family Vision Ministries at New Gloryland is to win souls to CHRIST, bring restoration to families, and strengthen the community through love, prayer and the teaching of the Gospel.
Our Pastors, will meet you where you are, in your walk with JESUS CHRIST. Our Pastors teach a weekly Bible Study, provide Pastoral Counseling by appointment and hold annual family conferences. A family that prays and meditates on the word together will be on one accord and will stand stronger against the attacks of the enemy.
Joshua 24:15, "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (NIV).
Pastors Sam and Paula Perry have been happily married for 30 years and are the parents of three children: Sean, Samantha and Amanda Perry.

Welcome to Family Vision Ministries at New Gloryland. We are excited about your decision to fellowship with this body of believers. We do not take this lightly because you could have joined any one of many local churches in Columbia, SC. However, God has led you to Family Vision Ministries at New Gloryland.
- We are committed to: The Two Great Commandments in "Matthew 22:37-40 and The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19–20” (NIV).
- We carry out this commitment through worship including: prayer, care ministries, discipleship and evangelism.
- We provide an atmosphere that allows believers from various cultures, ethnicities, and races to freely give of themselves to God through prayer and praise.
Pastor Samuel Perry
Pastor Samuel Perry was reared in Eastover, South Carolina and graduated from Lower Richland High and continued his education at Midlands Technical College.
He was licensed in the ministry in 1998 and was ordained in September 2010 in the Ecumenical Church. Pastor Perry now serves as Senior Pastor of Family Vision Ministries (an Inter-denominational church) along with his wife, Reverend Paula Perry who serves as the Executive Pastor.
Prior to planting Family Vision Ministries in July of 2014,
- Pastor Perry served as the Senior Pastor of First Ecumenical Church in Columbia, South Carolina under Bishop Redfern II of the Ecumenical Church (2011 – 2014).
- Pastor Perry is a gifted musician and has served as the Minister of Music/Musician in many churches, varying in denominations, for over 30 years; including Daniel Circle Chapel at Fort Jackson Military Base.
Pastor Perry’s favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 15:57-58: “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (KJV).
He is married to Reverend Paula Perry, a native of Darlington, South Carolina for 30 years; and the father of three children: Sean, Samantha and Amanda Perry. Paster Perry is also the owner of “Sam’s Home Repair & Custom Cabinetry” and is an expert gardener.
Reverend Paula Perry
Reverend Paula Perry was born in Columbia, South Carolina; but, was reared in Darlington, South Carolina. She is the daughter of the late Elwell and Carrie Dargan McPhail and happily married to Reverend Samuel Perry. Pastor Paula is also the mother of three children: Sean, Samantha and Amanda Perry.
Reverend Paula Perry was:
- Educated in the Darlington County public schools
- Received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina
Holds 2 Master's Degrees:
- Master’s of Science degree in Computer Studies from North Carolina State University (NC State) in Raleigh, North Carolina
- And a Master’s of Arts degree in Practical Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary.
She is currently employed by the State of South Carolina as a Senior QA Manager.
Pastor Paula Perry became a licensed minister on January 15, 1995 and ordained on December 10, 2000 at Rockhill Baptist Church in Ridgeway, South Carolina, under the late Pastor Willie Stallworth. In September 2010, she received a second ordination from the Ecumenical Church, in Columbia, South Carolina. Pastor Paula Perry now serves under the leadership of her husband as Executive Pastor of Family Vision Ministries. She has also serves as an Associate Minister at Christ Mission Lutheran Church in Columbia, South Carolina.
Pastor Paula favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (KJV).
Andrew Oliver
Reverend Oliver is a proud US Army Veteran and attended Northern VA Community College, City College of Chicago and received his Associates degree in Automotive Engineer and Electrical Repairs. He is a also a loving father and grandfather.
Reverend Oliver's first calling for the LORD was through music.
Over the last 22 years, he has served as Choir Director and currently is the Choir Director at Daniel Circle Chapel, Fort Jackson, SC.
He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 2010, and his favorite scripture is John 3:17:
"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" (NIV).
